For some reason I’m drawn to the image of a brain in a jar. I have early childhood memories of Frankenstein movies and the sci-fi of the 40s through the 80s. The concept also appeals to me thematically. Cloaking oneself in a purely logical, rational worldview, feeling trapped in ones own mind and struggling for self understanding seem embodied in the disembodied mind.
