It’s A Plot

I took a little time to shift the studio around making things much more comfortable and the plotter much more accessible. I also picked up a kings ransom in pens which I’ve been working to characterize as evidenced below.

It stands out that so far none of those that I’ve tried can take the abuse I’m dishing out for long. Paint pens are the most dramatically fussy. In my limited experiments the flow is often too much or not enough. I’m now turning to fine tuning the physical pen orientation. Next up is slowing down or otherwise adjusting the toolpath.

Apart from plotting I also have a new illustration in the works. You can see some test renders below. I know it involves a dissected gummy worm with candy organs. I’m trying to tease out a motivating story before developing the image further.
